The focus of the conference was to guide young people through entrepreneurial opportunities and processes along with the opportunity to discover first hand the concept of entrepreneurship. Secondly, an invitation was extended to these young people to rediscover the rural way of life and to truly believe that they can operate a successful venture from anywhere. The third goal of the Meridian is to help community leaders, school trustees and the public at large recognize the need to foster an entrepreneurial spirit within our town halls, schools and society.

The target group is 125-175 high school students total, but young entrepreneurs, local business people; agency representatives and anybody interested in entrepreneurship will be invited to participate.
